About future and immigration process
--
Honestly, these kinds of topics like “articles about plans” are my favorite. I really like to write about them. It’s very exciting to think about this, especially that I am usually a very bad predictor and things go in other ways.
For this year I had a plan to immigrate to another country. So, I started getting English lessons in order to prepare for the IELTS and worked hard on technical skills and management skills. At the same time I’ve tried to be more involved in processes on my job.
Well, I am happy that I started to do these. It’s really helpful. However, The immigration process has been changed due to the war. Firstly, It’s impossible to register for the IELTS in Russia anymore. Secondly, It’s not clear how foreign embassies work in Moscow. Thirdly, It’s very unpredictable what the Russian government will do with borders. They can just close them for everyone.
Despite all this, I don’t want to give up. When the war started I moved to Kazakhstan. I spent a week there and opened local bank accounts. The next stop was Armenia. I opened PE and bank accounts. Unfortunately, I had to come back to Russia, because I had to get my new foreign passport. I submitted an application and I am waiting for it.
Honestly, it’s very difficult to be here, but immediately after receiving a new document, I will return to Armenia. At the same time I have to lose Russian tax residency and get a residence permit in Yerevan. Only after this step I can try to send applications to foreign embassies that are located in the Armenian capital.
It looks like a very short and realizable plan. I want to believe in it. Unfortunately, the situation with the war and the crazy Russian government changes every day. I wish good luck to myself.
Thank you everyone.
